Stockinette is a breathable tubular cotton fabric used to wrap lamb, beef, goat and venison carcasses in Australian abattoirs and boning rooms. It serves three purposes: protecting the meat from contamination during chilling and transport, allowing the carcass to breathe so moisture doesn’t build, and presenting the product to buyers and inspectors as export-grade. Custom-printed stockinette also carries brand identification, species marks (e.g. ‘BONE IN BEEF CARCASE’), establishment numbers and regulatory text in the language of the export destination.

Printing includes your company logo, establishment number, species identification, regulatory text, and statements like ‘Keep Chilled’ or ‘Bone In’. Up to four-colour food-safe ink on cotton stockinette.
